Some students just need a little guidance in order to help them make it to the next level. The goal of homework is to help students fine tune their skills. Whether your child is on level, needs help, or is a super achiever homework can be a valuable tool.

Summer

During the summer we focus on bridging the gap between school years. We aim to maintain current skills and strengthen areas of need. Students lose about 20% of their gains during the summer months. We help alleviate this with our summer tutoring sessions.

ELA / English PK-2nd

In K-2nd ELA tutoring sessions, the focus is on personalized learning to strengthen foundational skills. This includes engaging activities like:

SAT Test Prep

Reading & Writing Only

NO MATH

In SAT prep tutoring sessions covering both Reading and Writing (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, or EBRW), the focus is on enhancing the skills necessary for success in the verbal and written components of the SAT exam. Here's what may be covered:

Reading Comprehension: Strategies for understanding and analyzing various types of passages, identifying main ideas, and answering different question types.

Vocabulary Building: Strengthening vocabulary to handle complex texts and answer questions related to word usage and context.

Grammar and Writing Conventions: Reviewing and practicing the rules of grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure essential for the Writing section.

Essay Writing: Strategies for constructing a well-organized, persuasive essay.

Critical Analysis: Developing skills in critically evaluating arguments, understanding the structure of passages, and identifying evidence to support claims.

Time Management: Strategies for managing time effectively during the SAT to ensure all questions are addressed within the allotted time.

Practice Tests and Review: Incorporating timed practice tests to simulate exam conditions, followed by a thorough review of answers to identify strengths and areas for

improvement.

Overall, the tutoring sessions aim to equip students with the skills, strategies, and confidence needed to perform well in the Reading and Writing sections of the SAT.

Cost

Currently are programs cost $30 an hour for traditional courses and $35 an hour ($350 for the course) for SAT Prep.

Hours of Operation

Classes are held Monday - Thursday 1pm - 8pm.

SAT classes are 10 weeks long and 60 minutes each.

Things to Consider

Currently, traditional programs are $30 per 60 minutes. SAT (Reading / Writing) course is $35 per hour ($350 for the course).

Cancelation Policy:

In the event of two consecutive cancellations, refunds may not be issued, and the reserved time slot may be offered to another student.
